March 2016

My bedroom window was a frame for my drawings. Presenting them to the only people who can see the window: the neighbours on the top floor directly opposite and the builders working on their extension.

Playing off the traditionin the art world of presenting work, putting it behind glass to be viewed from a distance and with a new work or exhibition in a gallery there is often a private view, for a more select group of people.

One morning I looked out and saw that the builders had made a big smiling face out of duck tape. So I replied with a smiling face also.

When I drew the view from my window of the houses opposite there was no reply until a couple of days later a lovely drawing appeared in a window in the top floor of a house with a rainbow over it.
